Solon crowned two individual champions and had seven top-five finishes in a fourth-place team finish at the two-day, 27-team Herb Irgens Invitational in Ida Grove.

Jordan Schmidt and Lucas Feuerbach each won individual titles for Solon as the Spartans finished fourth with 156 points.

Don Bosco won the team title with 269.5 points followed by Sergeant Bluff-Luton with 178 and Jesup with 177.5.

Schmidt (35-2) went 5-0 with a pin and two tech falls on his way to the 138-pound championship.

Class 2A seventh-ranked Schmidt won a 6-3 decision over Dalton VanWyhe of Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the title match.

Feuerbach (31-5) went 4-0 with a pin and a tech fall on his way to the 215-pound title.

The freshman won the 215-pound title match via medical forfeit over Kyler Sallis of Don Bosco.

Jayden Steapp finished fourth at 106 pounds, Lawsin Sinnwell was fourth at 144, Carson Kidwell was fourth at 150 and Grant Wilson finished fourth at 285 pounds.

Kyler Steapp added a fifth-place finish at 120 pounds.
