Boys Basketball Roundup: Solon Keeps Rolling With Road Win at Independence

Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon continued its red-hot start to the season with a 75-35 win over Independence on Friday in a WAMAC Conference East Division contest in Independence.
Solon improved to 12-0 on the season with the win while Independence dropped to 5-6 with the loss.
Gehrig Turner led four Solon players in double figures with a game-high 18 points while Vince Steinbrech had 13 points for the Spartans.
Jake Benzing had 12 points, Caleb Bock had 10, Rylen Stiegelmeyer had eight points and Jace Janssen finished with six for Solon.
Independence was led by Cameron Dunbar with seven points and Kyle Williams with six.
