Regina senior quarterback Gentry Dumont has found his future football home.
Dumont announced his commitment to NAIA powerhouse Grand View University with a post on social media on Tuesday.
“Excited to be a Viking,” Dumont wrote on X. “Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates and God who were able to make it possible.”
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Dumont was a first-team all-state selection as a senior leading Regina to a 9-2 record and a spot in the Class 1A quarterfinals.
Dumont completed 64 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,390 yards and 26 touchdowns with just five interceptions.
As a senior Dumont also rushed for a career-high 168 yards and four touchdowns.
Over the past two seasons Dumont passed for 3,439 and 38 touchdowns.
Grand View was 11-1 last season advancing to the NAIA quarterfinals and the Vikings are 38-3 over the past three seasons.
