Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon remained unbeaten on the season with a 59-40 win over South Tama in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup in Tama.

Solon improved to 10-0 on the season with the win while South Tama dropped to 2-7.

Jake Benzing and Gehrig Turner each had 17 points to lead Solon while Rylen Stiegelmeyer had 11 points for the Spartans.

Vince Steinbrech had eight points and Isaiah Zoske added six points.

Tommy Tyynismaa had a game-high 19 to lead South Tama and Cade Rosenberger added 10 points for the Trojans.
