West High crowned three champs on its way to a fourth-place team finish at the 21-team Ottumwa Invitational on Saturday in Ottumwa.

Alexander Pierce, Justin Avila and Kyler Scranton all won individual titles for the Trojans as West High finished with 393.5 points.

Creston won the team title with 496 points followed by North Scott with 450.5 and host Ottumwa with 433.5.

Liberty High got an individual title from Vincenzo Lima at 215 pounds and finished fifth with 330.5 points.

Pierce (18-1) went 6-0 on Saturday on his way to the 113-pound title posting four pins and tech fall before winning a 7-2 decision over Ashton Grace of Ottumwa in the 113-pound championship match.

Avila (16-3) went 5-0 en route to the 150-pound title recording three consecutive pins before back-to-back major decisions including a 14-1 win over Austin Evans of Creston in the title match.

Scraton (18-3) went 5-0 with five pins on Saturday while claiming the 175-pound title, pinning Gavin Benton of Liberty High in 1:53 in the 175-pound championship.

Braden Doyle (8-4) finished runner-up at 144 pounds for West High while Matthrew Tran was fifth at 120, Charles Barnhouse was sixth at 106, Zion Shaw was sixth at 190 and Ashton Honore was sixth at 285.

Lima (16-2) went 6-0 on his way to the 215-pound title for Liberty High winning a 7-5 decision over Creston’s Quinten Fuller in the 215-pound title match.

Landon Bell (17-5) finished runner-up at 157 pounds for Liberty High while Benton (18-4) was runner-up at 175.

Benjamin Rosen placed fifth at 113, Ethan Barber was fourth at 190 and Blake DuBois was fifth at 285 for the Lightning.
