Solon won a pair of dual matches at the South Tama triangular on Thursday defeating Marion 60-18 and downing host South Tama 40-23.

The Spartans won nine matches in the win over South Tama as Lawsin Sinnwell, Kyler Jensen and Grant Wilson all posted pins for Solon.

Sinnwell pinned Drayton White in 1:02 at 144 pounds, Jensen pinned Drew Mellies in 2:36 at 190 and Wilson pinned Kyan McBride in 4:55 at 285 pounds.

Kyler Steapp (120), Charlie Karam (132), Jordan Schmidt (138), Carson Kidwell (150) and Teague Williams (157) all added wins for Solon.

Against Marion the Spartans won 11 matches with Jayden Steapp, Evan Burg, Karam, Schmidt and Jensen all posting pins.

Steapp pinned AJ Dietz in 3:56 at 106 pounds, Burg pinned JT Malcom in 33 seconds at 126 and Karam pinned Lucas Horak in 2:34 at 132.

Schmidt pinned Cohen Johnson in 3:04 at 138 and Jensen pinned Kaleb Cornwell in 1:54 at 190.

Kyler Steapp (120), Sinnwell, Kidwell and Williams all won by forfeit against Marion and Lucas Feuerbach won a 9-3 decision over Tayt Broell at 190 pounds.
