Boys Basketball Roundup: Regina Extends Win Streak to Eight With Win Over Burlington Notre Dame

Regina opened the new year the same way it ended 2023 – with a win.
The Regals pushed their winning streak to eight with a 49-44 win over Burlington Notre Dame on Tuesday in Iowa City in the first game of 2024 for both teams.
Regina didn’t lead until the fourth quarter but outscored the Nikes 20-10 over the final eight minutes while improving to 8-2 on the season.
Burlington Notre Dame had a two-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 7-4 on the season.
Michael Martin had 25 points and five rebounds to lead Regina while Tate Wallace had 11 points and five rebounds.
Will Litton had six points, two rebounds and two assists and Drew Streb had seven rebounds.
Eddie Petersen had seven rebounds, five assists and a steal for the Regals.
