Class 2A third-ranked Regina had a six-game winning streak snapped with a 78-37 loss to Class 3A second-ranked Mount Vernon on Thursday in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.
Regina dropped to 7-2 on the season with the loss while Mount Vernon improved to 10-0.
Ella McLaughlin and Morgan Miller led the Regals with 10 points while Caitlin Martin had six points.
Regina shot just 21 percent from the floor including just 6-of-27 from 3-point range.
Miller had five rebounds, three assists and three steals and Martin had five rebounds for the Regals.
Morgan Squiers had three points, three rebounds and two assists and Alli Clark had five points and four rebounds.
