Cedar Rapids Kennedy defeated Liberty high 71-61 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Cedar Rapids.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Cedar Rapids Kennedy and improved the Cougars to 2-6 on the season while Liberty High dropped to 2-6 with the loss.

Natalie Ramsey had 16 points and three rebounds to lead three Liberty High players in double figures.

Kennedy Goodheart had 21 points and Madeline Casey had 10 points, four rebounds and three steals for the Lightning.

Bella Tafolla had seven points and three rebounds and Ava Casey had five points and three rebounds.
