West High overcame an 11-point first quarter deficit to down Cedar Rapids Jefferson 70-43 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Iowa City.

Sasha Baldwin had 27 points and West High outscored the J-Hawks 44-11 in the second half while improving to 4-4 on the season with its fourth win in the last five games.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson dropped to 2-7 with the loss.

Baldwin had five rebounds and four steals to go with her game-high 27 points for the Trojans while Grace Fincham had 16 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Lucy Wolf had seven assists and four rebounds, Ava Freese had six points and four steals and Alyson Skala had four points and six rebounds for West High.
