Boys Wrestling Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Runner-up at Fort Madison Invitational

Cale Nash won an individual title to highlight a strong showing by Clear Creek Amana at the two-day Fort Madison Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Fort Madison High School.
Clear Creek Amana had three finalists and had six wrestlers post top-five finishes in a runner-up team finish at the 23-team tournament.
Ethan Williams and Carson Nash each added runner-up finish as Clear Creek Amana finished with 376.5 points.
Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 382 and Solon finished seventh with 312.5.
Cale Nash (21-1) went 7-0 over the weekend with four pins and three tech falls including a 18-2 tech fall of Kane Forseen of New London in the 120-pound title match.
Williams (16-6) went 5-1 on his way to runner-up finish at 190 pounds falling to Camden Smith of Dubuque Hempstead in the title match.
Carson Nash (13-10) finished runner-up at 215 pounds, going 4-2 with a 7-2 loss to Evan Franke of Muscatine in the championship.
Nolan Howell finished third at 138 pounds while Jack Stevens was fourth at 150 pounds and Jose Mendieta was fifth at 113.
Solon got an individual title from Jordan Schmidt (20-2) who went 7-0 while winning the 138-pound title.
Schmidt had four tech falls on his way to the 138-pound title and won an 11-4 decision over Kael Cook of Burlington Notre Dame in the championship.
Lucas Feuerbach finished third at 215 pounds for Solon while Kyler Steapp was third at 120 pounds and Lawsin Sinnwell was fifth at 144 pounds.
