City High made its season debut in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association basketball rankings on Thursday entering the 5A rankings at No. 14.

The Little Hawks have won back-to-back games following a 1-3 start to the season to appear in the 5A rankings for the first time this season in the fourth set of rankings.

Johnston remained top-ranked in Class 5A while City High (3-3) is one spot in front of No. 15 Sioux City West High (2-2).

Solon, Clear Creek Amana and Regina all held their spots in the recent rankings released on Thursday.

Clear Creek Amana (6-0) remained second in Class 4A behind top-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes and Solon (6-1) retained the top spot in Class 3A for the third consecutive week.

Regina (6-1) remained fourth in Class 2A behind Dike New-Hartford, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Panorama.

All five top-ranked teams remained unchanged as North Linn remained atop the 1A rankings.
