Class 4A second-ranked Clear Creek Amana continued its unbeaten start to the season with a 68-23 win over Independence on Tuesday in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional contest in Independence.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 4-0 on the season while Independence dropped to 1-3 with its third consecutive loss.
Averie Lower poured in a game-high 25 points to lead Clear Creek Amana connecting on five 3-pointers.
Lena Evans had 10 points, Kennedy Stratton had nine points and Ava Locklear had seven points for the Clippers.
Kiera Rogers and Sam Schrage each had six points and Bliss Beck had five points for Clear Creek Amana.
