City High fell to Dubuque Wahlert 65-52 in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest on Tuesday in Iowa City.

Class 3A fourth-ranked Dubuque Wahlert outscored City High 38-18 in the second half and improved to 3-1 on the season.

City High dropped to 1-3 with the loss.

Augie Palmer had 16 points to lead the Little Hawks while Tess Driscoll had 13 points and freshman Kaitlin Loria added 10 points.

Claire Lueken and Olivia Donovan each had 22 points to lead the Golden Eagles and Ruth Tauber had 12 for Dubuque Wahlert.
