Girls Basketball Roundup: Miller Pours in 34 Points to Lead Regina Past Durant

Regina continued its strong start to the season with some red-hot shooting in a win over Durant on Tuesday.
Class 2A fourth-ranked Regina shot 59 percent from the field including 44 percent (7-of-16) from 3-point range in a 78-51 win over Durant in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Iowa City.
Regina improved to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in RVC South Division play with the win while Durant dropped top 0-3 and 0-1 in RVC South play.
Morgan Miller led Regina with 34 points on 13-of-14 shooting including 6-of-7 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Ella McLaughlin had 17 points and three assists and Alli Clark had 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Regals.
Caitlin Martin had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists and Morgan Squiers had two points, five steals and three assists.
Regina finished with 18 assists on 33 made field goals and just six turnovers.
