Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Downs Cedar Rapids Jefferson for First Win

After opening the season with back-to-back road losses to ranked opponents City High got into the win column on Friday.
City High scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 55-36 win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Cedar Rapids.
Tessa Driscoll had a game-high 17 points and Augie Palmer added 15 points as City High improved to 1-2 on the season.
Freshmen Kaitlin Loria and Hattie Galloway each had eight points for the Little Hawks and Emmy McComas added five points.
LeKenzie Davis had 13 points and Ava Erger had 10 points for Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
The J-Hawks dropped to 1-2 with the loss.
