West Branch continued a strong start to the season by going 3-0 at its own River Valley Conference quadrangular on Thursday in West Branch.

The Bears defeated Mid-Prairie 63-12, downed Dyersville Beckman 66-10 and added a 57-12 win over Tipton to finish the evening unbeaten.

In the win over Mid-Prairie the Bears had eight pins with Ethan Humphrey (106), Lincoln Edwards (120), Timmy Hosier (126), Auron Marsh (144), Cale Seydel (157), Shae Farmer (175), Quintyn Rocha (215) and Logan Wright (285) all winning by fall.

West Branch picked up a pair of wins by forfeit and got a decision from Tate Frantz at 190 pounds in the win over the Golden Hawks.

Against Dyersville Beckman Marsh and Gates each had pins as West Branch won nine matches by forfeit.

In the win over Tipton the Bears got pins from Humphrey, Marsh, Seydel, Gates and Farmer and Frantz, Rocha and Wright all won by forfeit.

Edwards won by decision at 120, Maddux Rushton won a 4-2 decision at 138 pounds and Logan Christoffel won a 1-0 decision at 132 in the win over Tipton.
