Girls Basketball Roundup: Beck, Locklear Lead 4A Second-ranked Clear Creek Amana Past West High

Bliss Beck scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Class 4A second-ranked Clear Creek Amana to a 57-45 win over West High on Tuesday in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 2-0 with the win while West High dropped to 0-2 with its second consecutive loss to a top-10 ranked team to open the season.
Ava Locklear had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Clear Creek Amana as the Clippers finished with a 34-21 rebounding advantage that included 10 offensive rebounds.
Sophomore Averie Lower had 10 points, six rebounds and five steals for the Clippers and Sam Schrage had three points and four rebounds.
Kaylee Stratton had four rebounds and two assists for Clear Creek Amana.
Sophomore Grace Fincham had a team-high 17 points, five rebounds and three assists to lead West High.
Freshman Sasha Baldwin had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists and Lucy Wolf had seven points.
Kate Van Waning had two points and five rebounds for the Trojans.
