Regina fell to Maquoketa 76-53 on Tuesday in the season opener for both teams in Maquoketa.
The Cardinals led 34-15 at the half before Regina cut the lead to seven with a 28-point fourth quarter.
Maquoketa outscored Regina 26-10 in the fourth quarter on its way to the win.
Senior Michael Martin led Regina with 17 points while freshman Tate Wallace had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Regals.
Freshman Will Litton had nine points and seven rebounds and senior Eddie Petersen had nine points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Drew Streb had four points and five rebounds and Connor Nicpon had four points and three assists.
Tye Hardin had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead Maquoketa while Ty Hinz had 22 points, six assists and five steals for the Cardinals.
