Clear Creek Amana Senior Beck Highlights Area IGCA All-State Selections

Clear Creek Amana completed a record-setting season earlier this month with a 46-1 record, a second consecutive state tournament appearance and a berth in the state semifinals.
On Sunday the Clippers continued to earn individual accolades for their impressive season.
Three Clear Creek Amana players earn all-state honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association when the organization released its postseason honors on Sunday.
Seniors Bliss Beck and Meg Berkland each earned all-state honors for the second consecutive season while sophomore Averie Lower was named to a IGCA all-state team for the first time.
Beck was named to the Class 4A first-team for the second year in a row after a senior season in which she ranked third in 4A in kills and first in both hitting efficiency and blocks.
A Drake recruit, Beck had a career-high 420 kills on .464 hitting this season while posting 116 blocks, 50 digs and 10 ace serves.
Berkland was named to the 4A second team for the second straight season after leading Class 4A and ranking 10th in the state with 531 digs.
The senior libero led Clear Creek Amana in digs each of the past four seasons and closed her career with 1,778 digs.
Lower was named to the Class 4A third team after ranking second on the team with 282 kills on .215 hitting while adding 311 digs and 47 blocks.
Liberty High junior Asta Hildebrand earned all-state honors for the second year in a row as she was named to the Class 5A second team.
Hildebrand ranked fifth in 5A with 361 kills on .239 hitting in a stellar junior season in which she had 392 assists, 299 digs, 42 blocks and 22 ace serves.
Liberty High freshman Edie Miller was named to the 5A third team after an impressive debut season in which she led 5A and ranked fourth in the state with 603 digs.
Miller also had 118 assists and 22 ace serves for the Lightning.
City High senior Claire Ernst was named to the Class 5A third team after leading the Little Hawks in kills for the third consecutive season.
Ernst had a career-high 356 kills on .275 hitting this season, ranked second on the team with 190 digs and had 21 blocks and 22 ace serves.
Solon junior Grace Erwin was named to the Class 3A fourth team/
Erwin had 186 kills on .378 hitting this season and ranked fourth in 3A with 116 blocks.
Regina sophomore Reese Naeve earned third-team all-state honors in Class 2A following a stellar season in which she ranked third in the state in kills.
Naeve had 600 kills on .341 hitting while also leading the Regals with 409 digs and 60 ace serves.
