West Branch opened postseason play with a 25-9, 25-10, 25-6 sweep of Louisa-Muscatine in a Class 2A, Region 7 opening-round match in West Branch
Emily Coleman had a match-high 10 kills as West Branch improved to 16-16 on the season with the win.
JaLynn Falco and Alyse Klinkkammer each had six kills and Kya Montgomery had five kills in the win over the Falcons.
West Branch had 17 ace serves in the win with Dani Crutchley and Claire Jarrett each had four ace serves and Klinkkammer and Coleman added three ace serves for the Bears.
Jarrett had 31 assists for the Bears and eclipsed the 500-assist mark for her career.
West Branch will face No. 14 Regina (26-10) in a Region 7 quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Iowa City.
