Player to watch: Davenport North junior quarterback Kazimir Rebarcak (6-2, 200) has completed 91-of-156 passes while throwing for 1,019 yards and five touchdowns with six interceptions and has rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns.
Key stat: City High has won back-to-back games over Davenport North the past two seasons outscoring the Wildcats 97-0 in those two games.
About the Little Hawks: City High has won three of its last four games following an 0-2 start to the season with the lone loss in that stretch coming to 4-2 Cedar Rapids Kennedy in week five.
The Little Hawks are playing their second consecutive game at Brady Street Stadium after defeating Davenport Central 61-0 last Friday.
After averaging 13.5 points per game in back-to-back losses to open the season City High is averaging 41.8 points per game over its last four games.
Junior quarterback Bobby Bacon (6-1, 165) has completed 76-of-116 passes for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns with three interceptions and has rushed for two touchdowns.
Seniors Carsen Newton (5-7, 140) and Jeremiah Madlock (6-0, 175) have been the top targets.
Newton has 35 receptions for 399 yards and two touchdowns and Madlock has caught 18 passes for 441 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Miles Parlet (5-9, 185) has rushed for a team-high 750 yards and seven touchdowns and has caught seven passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.
A City High defense that is allowing 31 points and 330 total yards per game is led by senior defensive back Jake Mitchell (5-5, 135) who has a team-high 45 tackles.
Senior linebacker Sam Kueter (6-4, 200) has 34.5 tackles and Dax Judge (6-2, 200) has 26.5 tackles with a team-high 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss.
About the Wildcats: Davenport North had at least three wins in five consecutive seasons from 2017-2021 winning four or more games four times during that stretch before a one-win season last fall.
The Wildcats have already eclipsed their win total from a year ago posting wins over Marshalltown and Davenport Central following an 0-2 start to the season but dropped a 21-14 contest at Dubuque Hempstead last week.
Davenport North is allowing 22.7 points and 322 total yards per game this season including 177 rushing yards per contest.
Senior Brycen Antle (5-10, 165) leads the Wildcats with 42.5 tackles and has 9.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
Senior Cael Pairrett (6-3, 205) has 33 tackles with 6.5 for loss while senior Joseph Thomas (6-1, 225) has a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss among his 24.5 tackles.
The Davenport North offense led by Rebarcak has been solid averaging 21.3 points and 385 total yards per game.
Junior running back Mason Bogan (5-9, 160) has rushed for 689 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 6.3 yards per carry and sophomore Derrick Pena (5-10, 200) has rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
Three players have at least 18 receptions and 240 receiving yards led by Pairrett who has caught 18 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns and junior Cunell Burrage (5-9, 150) who has 19 receptions for 311 yards and two touchdowns.
Jaedyn Stuckel (6-2, 160) has a team-high 23 receptions or 240 yards and a touchdown.
Cedar Rapids Washington (1-5) at West High (3-3)
Where: Trojan Field, 7 p.m.

Player to watch: Cedar Rapids Washington sophomore quarterback Grady McGuire (6-0, 155) is completing 47 percent of his passes this season while throwing for 648 yards and six touchdowns with eight interceptions and has rushed for a touchdown.
Key stat: Five different West High players have multiple interceptions this season with Santana Miller, Mason Woods and sophomores Julian Manson, Adrian DeWaard and Mason Goering all picking off two passes.
About the Trojans: West High snapped a two-game losing streak with a 44-0 win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson last Thursday and can put itself firmly in the 5A playoff race with a second consecutive win on Friday.
The Trojans are No. 15 in the first 5A RPI list of the season and closes the season with games against top-11 RPI teams Cedar Rapids Prairie (3-3) and Pleasant Valley (5-1).
West High averaged a season-best 7.4 yards per play while putting up a season-high 44 points in the win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
The West High offense is averaging 27.8 points and 291 total yards per game and is led by junior quarterback Jack Wallace (6-3, 210) who has passed for 1,148 yards and nine touchdowns with six interceptions.
Mason Woods (6-2, 200) is the top target for Wallace with 25 receptions for 417 yards and three touchdowns while Izaiah Loveless (5-11, 165) has caught 17 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns.
West High is allowing 25 points and 359 total yards per game on defense.
Senior linebacker Santana Miller (5-11, 205) leads the Trojans with 46 tackles while junior Declan Bunn (5-10, 180) has 40.5 tackles with four tackles for loss.
Senior defensive end Zach Logsdon (5-10, 200) leads the Trojans with five tackles for loss and two sacks.
About the Warriors: Cedar Rapids Washington snapped a six-game losing streak that dated back to last season with a win over cross-town rival Cedar Rapids Jefferson in week five before falling to Liberty High 60-10 last week.
The Warriors are allowing 37.2 points and 363 total yards per game this season and are led defensively by juniors Aaron Butikofer (5-9, 175), Brock Davis (5-11, 175) and Will Barnes (5-8, 170).
Butikofer has a team-high 23.5 tackles while Davis has 20.5 tackles and Barnes has 20 tackles and leads the Warriors with seven tackles for loss and three sacks.
The Cedar Rapids Washington offense is led by McGuire and is averaging 12 points and 172 total yards per game.
Sophomore Nicholas Riley (5-10, 175) has rushed for a team-high 185 yards and a touchdown and junior Mason Bahls (5-5, 150) has rushed for 121 yards.
Landyn Mitvalsky (6-1, 160) has been the top pass catcher with 18 receptions for 198 yards and a touchdown and J’Quari Willis (6-3, 185) has 10 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns.
Liberty High (2-4) at No. 7 Ankeny (4-2)
Where: Ankeny City Stadium,7 p.m.

Player to watch: Ankeny senior wide receiver Devon Akers (6-6, 210) ranks fourth in Class 5A in receiving yards with 557, leads 5A in yards per reception at 19.2 and is tied for seventh in 5A with five touchdown receptions.
Key stat: After allowing 43.7 points per game during a 1-2 start to the season Ankeny has allowed just 15 points per game while winning three consecutive games.
About the Hawks: Ankeny opened the season 1-2 but has won three consecutive games after back-to-back losses to the lone two undefeated teams in Class 5A Southeast Polk and West Des Moines Dowling.
Following losses to Southeast Polk and West Des Moines Dowling the Hawks have rattled off a string of impressive wins over Johnston (2-4), West High (3-3) and Cedar Rapids Prairie (3-3) and are currently seventh in the 5A RPI standings.
The winning streak for the Hawks has started with defense as Ankeny is limiting opponents to 309 total yards and 15 points during its three-game winning streak.
Senior Dylan Daugherty (5-11, 185) leads Ankeny with 45.5 tackles and two interceptions and senior Connor Kayser (6-4, 215) has 40.5 tackles with five tackles for loss.
Senior Angelo Wernau (5-8, 167) has 35.5 tackles and leads the Hawks with 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.
The Ankeny offense led by junior quarterback Luke Anderson (6-0, 170) is averaging 351 total yards and 25.8 points per game.
Anderson has completed 60 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,063 yards and 11 touchdowns with eight interceptions.
Akers is the top target for Anderson while Evan Irlmeier (5-8, 140) has caught 26 passes for 318 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore Daniel Larmie (5-8, 170) leads the Hawks with 526 rushing yards and four touchdowns and junior Caden Henkes (6-1, 172) has rushed for 438 yards and three touchdowns.
About the Lightning: Liberty High got back on track last week snapping a three-game losing skid with a 60-10 win over Cedar Rapids Washington.
The win over the Warriors was the first game this season for Liberty High against a team that isn’t currently .500 or better.
Liberty High is coming off its best defensive performance of the season in the win over Cedar Rapids Washington holding the Warriors to 10 points and 137 total yards including zero yards rushing.
In its two wins this season the Lightning have allowed 36 rushing yards per game and 1.4 yards per carry and in their four losses the Lightning are giving up 252 rushing yards per game and 6.6 yards per carry.
The Liberty High defense is led by linebackers Gavin Benton (5-11, 190) and Devin Anderson (5-11, 200) who have combined for 75 tackles including 16 for loss and senior defensive end Dantrell Skinner (6-0, 210) who has 25 tackles with 10 for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Liberty High has been among the most productive offenses in Class 5A this season averaging 36.2 points and 441 total yards per game.
Senior quarterback Graham Beckman (6-1, 194) has completed 62 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,795 yards and 17 touchdowns and has rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Junior Sutton Koller (5-11, 165) has rushed for 287 yards and seven touchdowns and leads the team with 51 receptions for 650 yards and six touchdowns.
Dallas Miller (5-10, 160) has caught 44 passes for 546 yards and seven touchdowns and Collin Decker (6-3, 190) has 19 receptions for 281 yards and a touchdown.
No. 1 Williamsburg (6-0) at No. 4 Solon (5-1)
Where: Spartan Stadium, 7:30
Last season: Williamsburg 38, Solon 25
Player to watch: Williamsburg junior Rayce Heitman (6-1, 175) is a threat to make a big play at any point in the game. On offense Heitman has rushed for a touchdown and caught 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he leads the Raiders with 46.5 tackles, has seven tackles for loss, three sacks a fumble recovery and two interceptions and he has returned two punts and a kickoff for a touchdown.
Key stat: Williamsburg has scored seven non-offensive touchdowns this season returning four interceptions, a punt and a kickoff for scores. Heitman has been responsible for five of those touchdowns as the junior has returned two interceptions, two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns.
About the Spartans: These two WAMAC rivals meet for the fourth consecutive season with Williamsburg having won two of the previous three meetings including a 38-25 win last season in Williamsburg.
Solon stretched its winning streak to five and improved to 2-0 in 3A, District 5 play with a 16-13 double overtime win over Benton Community last week.
Since a 34-7 loss to Davenport Assumption in the season opener the Spartans have been dominant defensively holding opponents to 9.8 points and 247 total yards per game during its five-game winning streak.
Senior linebacker Brett White (6-0, 210) spearheads the Solon defense ranking second in 3A with 62.5 tackles including a 3A-leading 17 tackles for loss.
Senior defensive back Jack McCarty (5-10, 175) has 29.5 tackles and senior linebacker Brayden Moore (5-9, 185) has 29 tackles for the Spartans which are allowing 13.8 points and 247 total yards per game on the season.
The Solon offense led by junior quarterback Ty Bell (6-1, 180) is averaging 24.7 points and 270 total yards per game.
Bell has completed 54 percent of his passes while throwing for 708 yards and seven touchdowns.
Sophomore Conlan Poynton (5-10, 175) has rushed for a team-high 363 yards and four touchdowns and Eddie Johnson (6-1, 205) has rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
Nash Kotar (6-1, 185) has caught a team-high 14 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns and Grant Knipper (6-0, 175) has 12 receptions for a team-high 197 yards.
About the Raiders: The Class 2A runner-up last season Williamsburg is off to a stellar start in its move up to Class 3A joining Clear Lake and Creston as the only remaining unbeaten teams in 3A.
Williamsburg has perhaps the most impressive resume in Class 3A this season with wins over 1A seventh-ranked West Branch and defending 4A state champion Cedar Rapids Xavier.
The Raiders join Solon as unbeaten teams in Class 3A, District 5 outscoring South Tama and Fairfield by a combined 117-20 the past two weeks in district wins.
Williamsburg is among the best defensive teams in 3A holding opponents to 14.7 points and 244 total yards per game.
Heitman leads the Williamsburg defense along with senior Iowa recruit Derek Weisskopf (6-3, 210) who has 23.5 tackles and an interception.
Junior defensive end Micah Lang (6-1, 190) leads 3A with eight sacks and has a team-high 10 tackles for loss.
Senior quarterback Kellen Cockrell (6-4, 195) leads a Williamsburg offense that is averaging 46.2 points and 324 total yards per game.
Senior receiver Braylon Wetjen (6-0, 175) has caught 16 passes for 395 yards and a Class 3A leading nine touchdowns this season and is averaging 24.7 yards per catch.
Four Raiders have at least 10 receptions and 170 receiving yards with Clayten Steckly (6-0, 175) catching 17 passes for 202 yard and five touchdowns, Weisskopf catching 11 passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns to go with Heitman.
Junior Nile Sinn (5-10, 165) has rushed for a team-high 494 yards and four touchdowns and is averaging 8.1 yards per carry.
Clear Creek Amana (2-4) at North Scott (4-2)
Where: Lancer Stadium, 7:30 p.m.

Player to watch: North Scott junior receiver Cash Bowe (6-2, 170) has caught a team-high 29 passes for 411 yards and three touchdowns.
Key stat: Clear Creek Amana averaged 92.8 rushing yards per game and 2.7 yards per carry in four consecutive losses to open the season and has rushed for an average of 300.5 yards and 6.9 yards per carry in back-to-back wins.
About the Clippers: After opening the season 0-4 against teams with a combined 19-5 record Clear Creek Amana has responded with back-to-back wins to open district play.
Clear Creek Amana followed up a 28-21 win over Oskaloosa in its district opener with a 34-21 win at Burlington last week and is 24th in the Class 4A RPI rankings.
The Clippers have been solid defensively this season holding opponents to 25.8 points and 295 total yards per game.
Clear Creek Amana is led defensively by senior Jackson Stevens (5-10, 155) who has a team-high 33 tackles and leads the Clippers with six tackles for loss.
Junior Ben Haughey (5-10, 175) has 31.5 tackles with four for loss and junior defensive back Trace Robertson (6-0, 170) has 25.5 tackles with four tackles for loss.
Clear Creek Amana is averaging 18.7 points and 279 total yards per game on offense behind senior quarterback Quinton Tran.
Tran (5-9, 165) has completed 56-of-105 passes for 687 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions and has rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Stevens has posted back-to-back 100-yard rushing games and has rushed for a team-high 696 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
Junior Owen Rosenberg (6-2, 180) has been the top pass catcher with 23 receptions for 265 yards and a touchdown and Haiden Hardy (6-2, 165) has caught 13 passes for 159 yards.
About the Lancers: One of the premier 4A programs in the state North Scott has won nine games each of the last six season capturing the 3A state championship in 2020.
North Scott has lost two of its last three games following a 3-0 start to the season with one-score losses to Western Dubuque and defending 4A champion Cedar Rapids Xavier.
Senior quarterback Kyler Gerardy (6-1, 190) has accounted for 1,689 yards of total offense (1,067 passing and 622 rushing) and 21 touchdowns.
A North Dakota State recruit, Gerardy left last week’s 26-20 loss to Cedar Rapids Xavier late with an injury.
Three North Scott players have at least 14 receptions and 200 receiving yards led by Bowe.
Hunter Fox (6-0, 180) has caught 18 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns and Carson Lage (6-2, 180) has 14 receptions for 238 yards and four touchdowns.
Junior running back Jerrod Lee (5-9, 185) has rushed for 431 yard and five touchdowns.
North Scott has been solid defensively allowing 20 points and 335 total yards per game.
The Lancers are giving up 226 rushing yards per game and have given up more than 190 rushing yards four times this season.
Nolan Engelbrecht (5-10, 170) leads the Lancers with 40 tackles while Luke Belken (5-11, 195) has 36.5 tackles and is tied for the team lead with four tackles for loss.
Dyersville Beckman (1-5) at No. 8 Regina (5-1)
Where: Regal Field, 7 p.m.

Player to watch: Dyersville Beckman junior Isaac Burlage (5-11, 165) has rushed for a team-high 373 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 5 yards per carry and ranks second on the team with 25 tackles.
Key stat: Regina senior receiver Jackson Naeve has accounted for 830 yards of total offense this season (655 receiving, 175 rushing) and is averaging 15.7 yards per offensive touch.
About the Regals: Regina will look to bounce back this week following its first loss of the season last week, a 21-17 loss at West Branch.
The Regals continued their strong defensive play last week in the loss at West Branch, holding the Bears to 279 total yards.
On the season Regina is allowing 13.2 points and 208 total yards per game.
Senior Jack Clark (6-2, 215) and junior Leren Fernandez (5-10, 180) lead the Regals with 25.5 tackles.
Senior Drew Streb (6-2, 235) has a team-high eight tackles for loss with 2.5 sacks and Clark has 4.5 tackles for loss with a team-high four sacks.
The Regina offense is led by junior quarterback Gentry Dumont (6-2, 205) who has passed for 1,547 yards and 16 touchdowns with three interceptions.
Junior William Aitchison (5-9, 175) has rushed for 383 yards and five touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Jackson Naeve (6-1, 180) has caught a team-high 26 passes for 655 yards and nine touchdowns and senior Ty Joss (6-0, 175) has 15 receptions for 328 yards and five touchdowns.
About the Blazers: Dyersville Beckman snapped a five-game losing streak to open the season with a 35-0 win over Durant last Friday.
The Blazers had scored just 16 points in the first five games of the season before getting their offense going in the win over Durant and enter Friday’s game averaging 8.5 points and 187 total yards per game.
Senior quarterback TJ Thier (5-10, 170) has passed for 308 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.
Senior Benton Boge (6-1, 165) has been the top target in the passing game with 13 receptions for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense Dyersville Beckman is allowing 32.3 points and 323 total yards per game including 164 rushing yards per contest.
Tanner Ostwinkle (6-2, 185) leads the Blazers with 32 tackles, nine tackles for loss and five sacks and sophomore Cody Hageman (6-0, 185) has 25 tackles with three tackles for loss.
No. 7 West Branch (4-2) at No. 6 Wilton (6-0)
Where: Wilton, 7 p.m.

Player to watch: Wilton junior quarterback Drew Keith (6-0, 185) has completed 63-of-105 passes while throwing for 757 yards and seven touchdowns and has rushed for 559 yards and four touchdowns.
Key stat: West Branch has won five in a row over Wilton including a 54-7 win last season and has outscored the Beavers 236-41 during that five-game winning streak.
About the Bears: West Branch stretched its winning streak to four and improved to 3-0 in Class 1A, District 5 play with a 21-17 win over Regina last week.
The Bears face a second consecutive ranked opponent this week as they travel to Wilton.
Since opening the season with back-to-back losses to Williamsburg and Dike-New Hartford the Bears have outscored opponents 117-43, a stretch that includes wins over top-10 teams Waterloo Columbus and Regina.
West Branch is averaging 23 points and 266 total yards per game this season and is averaging 29.3 points per game during its current four-game winning streak.
Sophomore quarterback Brennen Dale (6-0, 175) has completed 65 percent of his passes while throwing for 501 yards and four touchdowns and has rushed for 138 yards and six touchdowns.
Zach Capper (5-10, 180) leads West Branch with 264 rushing yards and has scored three touchdowns and Auron Marsh (5-9, 175) has run for 196 yards.
Senior Cale Seydel (5-10, 165) has a team-leading 16 receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns and Joe Hamann (6-0, 170) has seven catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
West Branch is holding teams to 15.7 points and 292 total yards per game and is allowing just 114 yards per game on the ground.
Shae Farmer (6-1, 175) leads West Branch with 35 tackles while Cooper Gates (5-11, 185) has 23.5 tackles with five tackles for loss and two sacks and senior Logan Wright (6-3, 235) has a team-high 8.5 tackles for loss.
About the Beavers: Wilton is off to its best start in a decade, opening 6-0 for the first time since 2013.
The Beavers have been impressive on both sides of the ball, outscoring opponents by a combined total of 194-31 during its unbeaten start.
Wilton has been especially impressive on the defensive side holding opponents to 5.2 points and 205 total yards and 66 rushing yards per game.
The Beavers haven’t allowed more than 260 total yards or 145 rushing yards in a game this season and have held five of six opponents to seven points or less.
Junior Owen Milder (5-10, 185) leads Wilton with 37.5 tackles including 8.5 for loss while sophomore Kane Willey (6-0, 210) has 26 tackles with 9.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Junior Carter Drake Metzger (6-3, 255) has 22.5 tackles and a team-high 10.5 tackles for loss while junior defensive back Jordan Dusenberry (5-11, 155) has five interceptions returning one for a touchdown.

Junior running back Owen Hassell (5-9, 165) has rushed for 658 yards and 14 touchdowns and has caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.
Cade Souhrada (5-10, 160 has caught a team-high 17 passes for 277 yards and four touchdowns and Gatlin Rogers (6-2, 180) has 12 receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown.
