Your Prep Sports Area Alumni Report: Crane, Fiderlein and Miller Continue Strong Seasons With Big Games

The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts.
Tate Crane
West High graduate and current Truman State junior Tate Crane had five receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown in a 21-7 win over Saginaw Valley State on Saturday.
On the season Crane leads the Bulldogs with 15 receptions for a team-high 197 receiving yards while helping Truman State to a 3-0 start.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Crane led Truman State in receptions (37) and receiving yards (413) last season as a sophomore.
Cael Fiderlein
West Branch graduate and current Central College junior linebacker Cael Fiderlein had seven tackles and an interception in a 19-11 loss to Coe College on Saturday in Pella.
Fiderlein had two solo tackles among his seven stops and blocked a kick in the loss.
On the season the 5-foot-11, 205-pound Fiderlein ranks fifth on the team with 13 tackles to go with an interception, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery helping the Dutch to a 2-1 start.
Cam Miller
Solon graduate and current North Dakota State senior quarterback Cam Miller accounted for four touchdowns in a 49-31 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday.
Miller completed 18-of-19 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a pair of touchdowns as the Bison improved to 3-0 on the season.
In three games this season Miller has completed 50-of-62 passes for 526 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Miller has also rushed for 158 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns.
