An impressive unbeaten start to the season has rocketed Regina up the Associated Press poll.

After starting the season unranked Regina has climbed to second in the most recent Class 1A poll released on Monday by the Associated Press.

Regina has outscored three opponents 140-32 during a 3-0 start to the season and is one of only eight remaining unbeaten teams in Class 1A.

The Regals jumped seven spots from last week’s poll and trail only top-ranked Grundy Center (3-0) in Class 1A.

Other top-ranked teams in this week’s poll are Southeast Polk in Class 5A, North Scott in Class 4A, Williamsburg in Class 3A, Van Meter in 2A, Lynnville-Sully in Class A and CAM in eight-player.
