Liberty High senior Cori Mac finished fifth overall to lead the Lightning to a fourth-place team finish at the Linn-Mar Invitational on Saturday at Oak Ridge Middle School in Marion.

Mac placed fifth in a time of 19:53.7 to help Liberty High place fourth as a team with 98 points.

Class 4A second-ranked Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 22 points while host Linn-Mar was runner-up with 82 points.

4A No. 11 Cedar Falls was third with 82 points followed by Liberty High while Cedar Rapids Kennedy was fifth with 122 points.

Clara Welch finished 13^th in a time of 20:59.5 for Liberty High while Bridget Canton was 19^th in 21:25.1.
