West High finished eighth and City High was ninth on Saturday at the Pleasant Valley Spartan Cross Country Challenge at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf.

Class 4A fourth-ranked Johnston won the team title with 39 points followed by Edina (Minnesota) was 56 points and host Pleasant Valley with 76 points.

West High was eighth with 211 points while City High was ninth with 243 points finishing in front of North Scott which was 10^th with 325 points.

Owyn Noble finished 25^th in a time of 17:14 to lead City High while Linus McRoberts ws 38^th in 17:45 for the Little Hawks.

Cade Benson placed 33^rd in a time of 17:38 to pace West High while Sam Showers was 37^th in 17:42 and Brice Wahe was 39^th in 17:46.
