Junior Ani Wedemeyer won the individual title to help City High to the team title at the Hillcrest Academy Early Bird on Tuesday in Kalona.

Wedemeyer won the individual in a time of 20:35.57 to pace four Little Hawks that finished in the top five.

City High won the team title with 15 points followed by English Valleys with 52, Wapello with 85 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson with 90.

Abigail Burns finished runner-up for City High in a time of 20:52.22 while Claire Locher was fourth in 21:53.8.

Freshman Grace Hamann placed fifth in a time of 22:22.22 and Nicole Peterson was sixth in 22:27.69 for City High.
