Softball Roundup: West Delaware Sweeps Solon in WAMAC Doubleheader

West Delaware swept Solon on Monday in a WAMAC East Division doubleheader at Sill Field in Manchester winning the opener 8-7 and taking the nightcap 10-7.
Class 3A ninth-ranked Solon dropped to 20-13 while West Delaware improved to 15-17 on the season with the sweep.
Addie Miller went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and drove in six runs to lead Solon in the opener.
Miller hit a two-run home run in the first inning and added a three-run home run in the sixth that cut the West Delaware lead to 8-6.
Mia Stahle was 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored two runs in the opener and Maddyn Gates was 2-for-2 with two walks.
In the nightcap Kassidy Lietz went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Layla Knazze had a hit and drove in three runs.
Claire LaDage had a hit and scored run and Kayla Meseck had a hit, drove in a run and scored twice.
