City High Moves Up Two Spots in Latest IHSBCA Rankings

City High moved up two spots to sixth in the latest Class 4A baseball rankings released on Monday by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
The Little Hawks have won seven straight games and eight of their last nine and join second-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie and fourth-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy as Mississippi Valley Conference teams ranked in the top six in Class 4A.
Ankeny Centennial (25-2) remained atop the Class 4A rankings followed by Cedar Rapids Prairie, Johnston, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Southeast Polk.
Other top-ranked teams this week include Western Dubuque in Class 3A, Van Meter in Class 2A and Mason City Newman in Class 1A.
