Baseball Roundup: Gorham, White Lift Solon in Doubleheader Sweep of Center Point-Urbana

Solon got a game-winning single from freshman Dylan Gorham in the opener and a three-run home run from junior Brett White in the nightcap in a doubleheader sweep of Center Point-Urbana on Thursday in Solon.
Gorham singled up the middle to score Nolan Seagren as Solon won the opener 8-7 in nine innings.
White homered in the nightcap as Solon won 10-0 in five innings to complete the sweep.
Solon improved to 18-13 on the season with the sweep while Center Point-Urbana dropped to 11-13 on the season.
Gorham had two hits and drove in two runs in game one and also worked two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win on the mound.
Jackson Link had two hits and drove in three runs and Cole Farnsworth had two hits for the Spartans.
White had a hit, drove in a run and scored a run for Solon in the opener while Blake Timmons had a hit and scored a run.
Brick Kabela earned the win in game two allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out three in a five-inning complete game.
