Softball Roundup: Miller Leads Clear Creek Amana in Sweep of South Tama

Class 4A No. 14 Clear Creek Amana snapped a four-game losing streak with a sweep of South Tama in a WAMAC West Division doubleheader on Wednesday in Oxford.
Clear Creek Amana won the opener 13-0 and took the nightcap 18-0 both in three innings while improving to 13-11 on the season.
South Tama dropped to 0-24 on the season.
Senior Olivia Miller went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, a home run and six RBI to lead the Clippers in the opener.
Elizabeth Timmerman, Aeslyn Massey and Lizzie Pasbrig all had two hits in game one with Pasbrig driving in two runs.
Timmerman earned the win allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out four in three scoreless innings.
Clear Creek Amana hammered 18 hits in the 18-0 win in the nightcap.
Miller was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple to lead a list of 15 different Clippers with a hit.
Carley Nash had two hits and drove in three runs and Massey had two hits and drove in four in the win.
Kyla Schulte earned the win striking out two and walking one in a three-inning no hitter.
