Softball Roundup: Eighth-ranked Solon Splits Doubleheader With No. 15 Center Point-Urbana

Class 3A eighth-ranked Solon split a WAMAC doubleheader with 3A No. 15 Center Point-Urbana on Wednesday in Solon dropping the opener 6-4 and winning the nightcap 5-2.
Solon improved to 17-10 on the season with the game-two win while Center Point-Urbana moved to 15-13 on the year with the doubleheader split.
Mia Stahle had two hits and scored a run for Solon in the opener while Hilary Wilson had a double and drove in a run for the Spartans in game one.
Kendall Jensen took the loss in the opener allowing six unearned runs on 10 hits while striking out four and walking two.
Maddyn Gates earned the win in game two allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out six and walking three.
Gates went 3-for-3 in game two while Wilson and Addie Miller each had two hits for the Spartans in game two.
Stahle had a hit and drove in two runs and Claire LaDage had a hit and drove in a run.
