City High dropped two spots to eighth in the latest edition of the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A rankings released on Monday.

The Little Hawks trial top-ranked Ankeny Centennial, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Johnston, Southeast Polk, West Des Moines Dowling, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Pleasant Valley in the 4A rankings.

City High (17-11) appears in the rankings for the third consecutive week.

Other top-ranked teams this week include Western Dubuque in Class 3A, Van Meter in Class 2A and Mason City Newman in Class 1A.
