City High Puts Seven Players on MVC All-Division Teams

After a strong season that included 10 wins and a spot in the regional title game City High picked up some postseason honors on Monday.
Seven Little Hawks earned Mississippi Valley Conference all-divisional honors when the conference announced its postseason awards.
Senior Claire Brown and juniors Ava Bell and Maclayne Menzel highlighted the City High all-MVC picks all landing on the Valley Division first team.
Brown led the Little Hawks with 14 goals and added seven assists while Bell and Menzel tied for second on the team with eight goals.
Bell had five assists and Menzel had two assists while helping City High to a 10-5 record.
Juniors Aoife Boulter and Kaitlyn Brown were both named to the Valley Division second team.
Boulter had two goals and three assists and Brown scored a goal.
Juniors Kelsey Dilanni and Claire Loria were honorable mention picks for City High.
Liberty High had six players earn all-division honors led by freshman Callie Stanley and sophomore Rilyn Breinholt who were both named to the Mississippi Division first team.
Stanley had a team-high 18 goals to go with eight assists while Breinholt had 10 goals and a team-high 10 assists.
Junior Maya Marquardt and sophomore Amelia Marquardt were second-team picks for the Lightning.
Amelia Marquardt had a goal and an assist for the Lightning.
Juniors Bella Tafolla and Layla Rouse each earned honorable mention honors for Liberty High.
West High had six players earn all-division honors led by first-team picks junior Aly Skala and sophomore Paz Martinez.
Skala had three goals while Martinez had four goals and three assists for the Trojans.
Junior Maya Mozena and sophomore Sophia Oulman were named to the Valley Division second team for West High.
Mozena had a goal and two assists while Oulman had two goals and two assists.
Junior Yuning Shao and sophomore Emma Potthoff were both honorable mention picks for West High.
