Regina is coming back to Iowa City for an opportunity to qualify for the state meet.

Mikey Takacs finished third overall with a three-over-par 75 as Regina placed third at the Class 1A sectional meet at Knoll Ridge Country Club North English on Wednesday.

With the third-place team finish Regina secured a spot at the 1A district meet schedule for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Brown Deer Golf Course in Iowa City.

Hillcrest Academy won the team title with a 330 while English Valleys was runner-up with a 336 to earn spots at the district meet. Regina was third with a 341.
