Solon continued its strong season by winning the WAMAC East Division title on Monday on a windy afternoon at Three Elms Golf Course in Independence.

The Spartans had four players shoot 48 or better on Monday and finished with a 183 to edge West Delaware by six strokes for the team title.

Host Independence was third with a 213 followed by Marion with a 230.

Sydney Dee shot a 44 to earn individual runner-up honors while teammate Rylie Greazel also shot a 44 for Solon to finish third.

Taylor Dee placed fifth with a 47 and Izzy Frees was one shot back in sixth place with a 48.

Susie Funke of West Delaware shot a 43 to earn medalist honors.
