West High stopped a four-match losing skid with a 9-0 win over Cedar Rapids Washington on Tuesday evening at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Eight different Trojans scored goals on Tuesday as West High improved to 3-6 on the season with its first win since a 1-0 victory over City High on April 14.

Cedar Rapids Washington dropped to 0-7 with the loss.

Emma Potthoff led West High with two goals and an assist while Yuning Shao and Paz Martinez each had a goal and an assist.

Aly Skala, Alexandria Held and Rachel Schafbuch each added goals for West High along with Sophia Oulman goal Ava Garcia.

Freshman Lauryn Hynek and Held combined for the shutout in goal with Hynek making a save in 59 minutes.
