Solon fired a nine-hole school-record 143 on Monday on its way to winning the Benton Community triangular meet at Tara Hills Country Club in Van Horne.

Brennan Heesch fired a two-under-par 34 to lead four Solon golfers that shot in the 30s as the Spartans shot a 143 to finish 17 strokes in front of runner-up West Delaware.

Host Benton Community was third with a 180.

Isaiah Zoske and Mac McCarty each shot one-under par 35s while Quinton Heineman shot a 39 for the Spartans.

Jack McCarty and Sean Stahle each shot 41.
