Solon remained in the Class 1A girls soccer rankings this week when the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released its latest rankings on Thursday.

The Spartans dropped six spots from sixth to 12th in the latest 1A rankings falling outside the top 10 for the first time this season.

Des Moines Christian and Davenport Assumption remained in the top two spots in the 1A rankings followed by Underwood, Nevada and Gilbert in the top five.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Waukee Northwest in Class 3A and Dallas Center-Grimes in Class 2A.
