Solon had four golfers shoot in the 40s on its way to a 176-194 win over Williamsburg in a WAMAC Conference dual meet on Monday at Stone Creek Golf Course in Williamsburg.
Lilly Houtakker fired a career-best nine-hole score of 40s to match Williamsburg’s Jaisel Bott and earn medalist honors and three other Spartans shot 48 or better as Solon finished four strokes off the lowest nine-hole score in program history.
“We were very pleased with our scores tonight,” Solon coach Curtis Hendrickson said. “Stone Creek is a very nice course, but it can be challenging with all the bunkers. It is definitely a shot-makers course, and tonight our girls did a good job of that.”
Taylor Dee shot a 42 and Riley Greazel carded a 46 for Solon while Bailey Woolly added a 48 for the Spartans.
