Repeat Selections Highlight Area IGCA All-State Girls Basketball Selections

Six area players were named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-state girls basketball team released on Tuesday highlighted by three repeat all-state picks.
Solon junior Callie Levin headlined the area repeat picks earning first-team all-state honors from the IGCA for the third straight season.
Liberty High senior Jasmine Barney and West High senior Meena Tate each earned all-state honors for the second year in a row.
Levin was a first-team Class 3A all-state pick after leading Solon with 18.2 points, 4.2 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
The Iowa recruit, also averaged 5.7 rebounds per game and shot 41 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free throw line while helping Solon to a 23-3 record and a 3A state semifinal appearance.
Solon junior Hailey Miller joined Levin on the 3A all-state team, earning third-team honors after averaging 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Barney was named to the 5A all-state team for the second straight season earning second-team honors.
The senior point guard led Liberty High to the best season in program history averaging team-highs of 15.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.5 assists per game.
Tate was also a 5A all-state pick for the second year in a row landing on the 5A third-team.
The senior guard led West High with 14.7 points and 3.5 assists per game and averaged 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.
Clear Creek Amana junior Ava Locklear was named to the Class 4A second-team to earn all-state honors for the first time.
The 5-foot-11 Locklear averaged 13.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while leading the Clippers to the state tournament and also averaged a team-high 3.3 assists, 2 blocked shots and 1.7 steals per game.
Regina sophomore Morgan Miller was named to the 2A second-team after leading the Regals in scoring (17), rebounds (4.7) and steals (3) and ranking second on the team with 4 assists per game while helping Regina return to the 2A state tournament.
