Fisher, McCaffery Named Unanimous All-MVC Divisional Selections

Liberty High senior Da’Shon Fisher and West High sophomore Jack McCaffery both posted the best seasons of their prep careers this winter.
On Wednesday both were recognized for their stellar seasons.
McCaffery and Fisher were both unanimous first-team all-Mississippi Valley Conference divisional selections when the conference released its postseason awards on Wednesday.
Fisher was a unanimous first-team pick in the Mississippi Division after averaging a career-high 22 points per game while shooting 56 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line.
The 6-foot senior guard after 5.8 rebounds, 4 assists 1.2 steals and .9 blocks per game.
Senior Luke Ramsey was a second-team pick in the Mississippi Division after averaging 11.3 points and leading the Lightning with 59 made 3-pointers.
Juniors Trey Hughes and Gage Kampman were both honorable mention all-Mississippi Division picks for Liberty High.
McCaffery was one of four West High players to earn all-Valley Division honors for the Trojans joining juniors Kareem Earl, Jacob Koch and TaeVeon Stevens.
The 6-foot-8 McCaffery led West High with 16 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.9 blocked shots per game and also ranked third on the team with 2.3 steals per game.
Earl was named to the Valley Division second team after averaging 10.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
Koch and Stevens were both honorable mention selections for West High.
City High had three players earn all-division honors led by sophomore point guard Trey Wright who was a second-team pick in the Valley Division.
Wright averaged 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and a team-high 2.8 assists per game for the Little Hawks.
Seniors Shamar Benton and Evan Lampe were both honorable mention picks for City High.
