Aurora Roghair
Former West High standout and current Stanford sophomore Aurora Roghair won her first career Pac-12 title on Saturday winning the 1,650 freestyle at the conference championships in Federal Way Washington.
Roghair won the event in a time of 16:02.28 to help Stanford repeat at Pac-12 champions.
Stanford won the team title with 1,725.5 points, winning its sixth title in seven seasons and by the second largest margin of victory in the last 27 years.
Lauren Zacharias
West High graduate and current Wayne State senior guard Lauren Zacharias was a second-team all-conference selection by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference last week.
Zacharias led the Wildcats in scoring (15.5), rebounding (4.5), 3-point field goals (59) and assists (3).
The 5-foot-6 Zacharias ranked ninth in the NSIC in scoring, eighth in free throw percentage (.809) and 12th in assists and scored in double figures 21 times this season including five games with 20 or more points.
Sarah Lehman
Regina graduate and current San Diego State senior Sarah Lehman tossed four strong innings on Friday to lead San Diego State to a 4-1 victory over BYU at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic tournament in Cathedral City, California.
Lehman allowed just two hits and one unearned run in the win over the Cougars, striking out six and walking three.
On the season Lehman is 4-1 with a 2.27 ERA in 24 2/3 innings for the Aztecs and has struck out 27 while walking just 13 to help San Diego State to a 10-5 record.
