State Qualifiers Solon and Clear Creek Amana Each Put Six Players on WAMAC All-Division Teams

Solon and Clear Creek Amana will both be playing for the biggest postseason prize of all next week at the state tournament.
In the meantime both the Spartans and the Clippers picked up plenty of postseason honors when the WAMAC Conference released its postseason awards on Wednesday.
Class 3A state qualifier Solon had six players named to the WAMAC East Division team while 4A state qualifier Clear Creek Amana had six players earn spots on the WAMAC West Division team.
Solon junior Callie Levin headlined the area selections being selected as the East Division player of the year for the third consecutive season after leading the Spartans to a 22-2 record that includes a 13-1 mark against WAMAC teams and an unbeaten 8-0 record against East Division opponents.
Levin leads the Spartans in scoring (18.5), assists (4.3) and steals (3.8) and is second on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game.
Joining Levin as unanimous East Division first team selections are junior guard Hailey Miller and sophomore guard Kobi Lietz.
Miller ranked second on the team with 10.9 points and added 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Lietz averages 8.5 points, 3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game for the Spartans.
Junior Mia Stahle was named to the East Division second team after averaging 6.8 points, 2.2 steals, 2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
Senior Hilary Wilson and junior Anna Quillin were each honorable mention selections in the East Division.
Clear Creek Amana juniors Ava Locklear and Bliss Beck were both unanimous West Division selections to lead a group of five Clippers to earn all-West Division honors.
Beck and Locklear were both first-team all-West Division picks for the second year in a row after helping the Clippers to an 18-4 record that included a 12-3 record in conference games.
Locklear averaged a double-double with 13.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game and also led Clear Creek Amana with 3.4 assists, 1.9 blocked shots and 1.8 steals per game.
Beck shot 66 percent from the field while averaging 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game.
Freshman Averie Lower was named to the West Division second team after ranking second on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game to go with 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Senior Olivia Miller was a second-team West Division selection after averaging 6.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
Juniors Sam Schrage and Kaylee Stratton were West Division honorable mention selections.
