Fourth-ranked West Des Moines Dowling remained red-hot stopping West High short of a spot in the Class 5A state tournament with a 59-37 win over the Trojans in the Region 4 title game on Tuesday in West Des Moines.

West Des Moines Dowling (19-4) stretched its winning streak to 16 with the win and advanced to the 5A state tournament for the third consecutive season.

No. 12 West High closed the season at 16-7.
