Girls Basketball Roundup: Second-ranked Solon Rolls Past Fairfield in Regional Opener

Class 3A second-ranked Solon closed the regular season on a five-game winning streak with 14 wins in their final 15 games.
The Spartans picked up right where they left off when the postseason began on Saturday.
Three Spartans scored in double figures as Solon rolled to a 75-31 win over Fairfield in a 3A, Region 2 quarterfinal in Solon.
Solon led 20-6 after one quarter and built a 46-13 lead while improving to 20-2 on the season.
The Spartans will host Davis County (9-13) in a Region 2 semifinal on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Davis County advanced with 54-46 win over Central Lee in a Region 2 quarterfinal on Saturday.
Fairfield closed the season 2-19.
Callie Levin made five first-half 3-pointers and had 21 of her game-high 23 points in the first half.
Hailey Miller added 10 points for the Spartans while Addie Greene had 10 for Solon.
Hilary Wilson had seven points and Mia Stahle and Kobi Lietz each had six.
Savannah Hollander had 18 points to lead Fairfield.
