Regina and Solon each held their spots in the most recent girls basketball rankings released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union on Monday.

Solon (16-2) remained second in Class 3A while Regina (16-4) held its spot at sixth in Class 2A.

Estherville-Lincoln Central (17-0) retained the top spot in Class 3A ahead of Solon which is followed in the 3A top five by Benton Community, West Marshall and Des Moines Christian.

Regina trails top-ranked Dike-New Hartford, Central Lyon, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Cascade in the 2A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana (12-4) remained seventh in the Class 4A rankings while Liberty High and West High each moved up in the 5A rankings.

Liberty High (11-6) moved up two spots to No. 10 in Class 5A and West High (13-5) moved up one spot to No. 12.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Pleasant Valley in 5A, Dallas Center-Grimes in 4A, Dike New-Hartford in 2A and Algona Garrigan in 1A.
