Girls Basketball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Has Six-game Win Streak Snapped with Loss to No. 3 Benton

Class 4A seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana had a six-game winning streak snapped with a 59-42 loss to 3A third-ranked Benton Community on Friday in a WAMAC West Division contest in Tiffin.
Clear Creek Amana dropped to 12-3 on the season with the loss while Benton Community improved to 16-2 on the year and completed the regular season sweep of the Clippers with the win.
Benton Community defeated Clear Creek Amana 51-36 in Van Horne on December 20 which was the last loss for the Clippers.
Jenna Twedt had a game-high 30 points to lead Benton Community and Emma Townsley had 11 points as the Bobcats won their seventh consecutive game.
Zoey Junge had 10 rebounds and McKenna Kramer had nine points for Benton which shot 44 percent from the floor including 8-of-21 from 3-point range.
Kennedy Stratton led Clear Creek Amana with 13 points while Ava Locklear added 12 points for the Clippers.
Bliss Beck had seven points and Averie Lower had six.
