McKenna Rogers won an individual title and Addison Burden was runner-up to lead Solon to a sixth-place team finish at the WAMAC Conference meet on Monday in Williamsburg.

Rogers won the title at 105 pounds to lead Solon as the Spartans finished with 93 points.

Independence won the team title with 220 points while Vinton-Shellsburg was runner-up with 183 and host Williamsburg was third with 146.

Clear Creek Amana had five wrestlers finish fourth on its way to an eighth-place team finish with 71 points.

Rogers improved to 32-1 on the season with a pin of Sarah Greiner of Independence in 2:54 in the 105-pound championship match.

Burden (29-10) fell to Phoenix Gryp of Williamsburg in the 145-pound championship match.

Alannah Mahoney finished fourth for Solon at 125 pounds and Kara VeDepo finished fifth at 110 pounds.

Alexis Anderson was fifth at 140 pounds for the Spartans and Audrey Howell was fifth at 155 pounds.

Kendal Jensen finished sixth at 170 pounds, Olivia Bonnema was sixth at 135 and Adlie Miller was eighth at 190 for Solon.

Clear Creek Amana got fourth-place finishes from Marlie McBride at 110 pounds, Brenna Williams at 115, Emma Descourouez at 120, Kaly Thomas at 130 and Halle Bormann at 135 pounds.
