Class 4A seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana remained unbeaten in 2023 and pushed its winning streak to six with a 68-57 win over 3A No. 13 Vinton-Shellsburg in a WAMAC West Division contest in Vinton.

Clear Creek Amana improved to 12-2 on the season with the win while Vinton-Shellsburg had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 9-6 on the season.

The win completed a season sweep of Vinton-Shellsburg for Clear Creek Amana which won the first meeting between the two teams 50-40 in Tiffin on December 16.

Ava Locklear had a team-high 22 points to lead Clear Creek Amana while Bliss Beck added 16 points for the Clippers.

Averie Lower had nine points and Sam Schrage and Kaylee Stratton each had seven for Clear Creek Amana.

Alyssa Griffith had a game-high 24 points to lead Vinton-Shellsburg while Abby Davis had 15 points.
